The rumor mill surrounding the iPhone SE 4 continues to churn, with new reports suggesting an earlier-than-expected release. Originally anticipated for spring 2025, the latest speculation points to a possible earlier launch.

The iPhone SE, known for being Apple’s budget-friendly line, typically features an older design with updated hardware. Previous models were released in 2016, 2020, and 2022. The iPhone SE 4 was expected in spring 2024 but didn’t materialize, leading many analysts to predict a spring 2025 release.

However, according to sources from The Information, production of the iPhone SE 4 is slated to begin in October this year, following the launch of the iPhone 16 in September. This is notably earlier than the usual production timeline for previous SE models. Rumors also suggest that the new iPhone SE will resemble the iPhone 16, featuring an OLED display, a 48-megapixel camera, and possibly the A18 chip.

Possible January Launch for iPhone SE 4?

The production of a new iPhone typically starts about three months before the device hits the market. If this timeline holds, the iPhone SE 4 could potentially be released as early as January 2025, as suggested by The Information. While it’s not unprecedented for Apple to release new hardware in January, it is unusual; previous iPhone SE models have typically launched in March.

In recent years, Apple has shown flexibility with its release schedules. For example, the latest iPad Pro and MacBook models were released at atypical times. Although the exact release date for the iPhone SE 4 is still uncertain, it is clear that the device is on its way. Whether it launches in January, March, or April remains to be seen.
